Tai Solarin University (Tasued) 2017 Post Utme form is Out

This is to inform the general public that the POST-UTME screening exercise of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) for the 2017/2018 session will take place as indicated below:

 

THOSE WHO MAY APPLY

UTME Candidates who chose TASUED as first choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB, having scored a minimum of 180 in the 2017 UTME.

           

Direct Entry candidates with A level/OND/HND/NCE/JUPEB qualification who chose TASUED as first choice institution or seeking a change of institution to TASUED through JAMB and have obtained 2017 Direct Entry JAMB form.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION (LOG IN PROCEDURE)Candidates should apply online through the TASUED Admission portal onhttps://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission

NB: The www.tasued.edu.ng is the ONLY legitimate and authentic website of TASUED through which the Admission portal can be accessed.

          

Each candidate is required to make the payment of N2,500 for the screening exercise and N5,000 for the portal access fee, payable online with either Master card or VISA ATM card.

(Please print out your receipt after payment)

 

Candidates are required to fill and complete the online Application Form by providing all the required information.

(Please download and read the University Degree Brochure and carefully study the O’Level requirements for the courses applied for, before filling the online Application Form)

 

Print the Screening Slip containing your colour passport photograph and screening information. The printed slip will serve as candidate’s identification/admission card for the screening exercise.

 

The sale of the online Screening Form/Registration commences on Monday, 17th July 2017 and closes on Friday, 11thAugust 2017.

 

Note that wrong/false information provided by any candidate shall render the application invalid and such candidates shall be disqualified.

Screening exercise shall be conducted for all UTME candidates at the Main Campus of the University on these dates:

The screening date for Direct Entry (200 Level) applicants shall be announced at a later date.

 

Candidates’ participation in the screening exercise is a mandatory requirement for entry into Tai Solarin University of Education.

 

SCREENING DETAILS

Candidates should prepare for the screening exercise and bring along the following:

Colour print-out of the online Application Form

Original JAMB Examination Notification of Result slip or Direct Entry Registration Slip.

(iii)      Screening Slip and Receipt

 

WARNING:

(i)        Cell phones (GSM, CDMA, etc.) and other electronic devices are not allowed at the venue of the screening exercise

(ii)       Candidates are to arrive at the screening venue an hour before the commencement of the exercise.

 

The results of the screening exercise should be checked on the Admission portal after the screening exercise.

Released WAEC Result. See details here

   The West African Examinations Council (WAEC),
has released the May/June WASSCE results for
this year.

13.79% of the candidates that wrote the exams
had their results withheld, while a 59.22% pass
in English Language and Mathematics was
recorded.
  
  Speaking at a press briefing held at its
corporate office in Yaba, Lagos on Monday,
Head of National Office, Nigeria, Mr Olu
Adenipekun said the performance results
recorded this year, was an improvement from
the last two years.

  “A total of 923,486 (nine hundred and twenty
three thousand four hundred and eighty six)
candidates, representing 59.22%, obtained
minimum of credits in five (5) subjects and
above, including English Language and
Mathematics,” he said.
Adenipekun explained that the results of
214,952 candidates are being withheld, in
connection with various reported cases of
examination malpractice, which under
investigation.

  A total of 1,559,162 candidates sat the
examination.
He added: “Out of the total number of
candidates that sat the examination, 1,471,151
(One Million Four Hundred and Seventy One
Thousand One Hundred and Fifty One)
candidates, representing 94.36% have their
results fully processed and released, while
95,734 (ninety five thousand seven hundred and
thirty four) candidates, representing 5.64% have
a few of their subjects still being processed due
to errors traceable to the candidates in the
course of registration or writing the
examination.
 
  "Such errors are being corrected by the Council
to enable the affected candidates get their
results fully processed and released
subsequently.
In the analysis of the results, he said: “Of the
total number of candidates that sat the
examination, 1,490,356 (one million four hundred
and ninety thousand three hundred and fifty six)
candidates, representing 95.59% obtained credits
and above in two (2) subjects.
“1,436,024 (one million four hundred and thirty
six thousand twenty four) candidates,
representing 92.44% obtained credits and above
in three (3) subjects.

  “1,357,193 (one million three hundred and fifty
seven thousand one hundred and ninety three)
candidates, representing 87.05% obtained credits
and above in four (4) subjects.

  “1,243,772 (one million two hundred and forty
three thousand seven hundred and seventy two)
candidates, representing 79.77% obtained credits
and above in five (5) subjects.
 
  “1,084,214 (one million eighty four thousand two
hundred and fourteen) candidates, representing
69.54% obtained credits and above in six (6)
subjects.”
Candidates can check their results on the
Council’s results website: www.waecdirect.org
within the next few hours.

side of the candidates’ CIVAMPENS Card issued

Print Original 2017 Jamb Result Here

All 2017 JAMB candidates are hereby informed that the printing of JAMB original result for 2017 has commenced.

The Original JAMB result slip is an official document you will likely need to during your admission screening exercise and other admission matters.

How To Print Your 2017 JAMB Original Result Slip

1.Login to your Jamb Account at Jamb.org.ng

*Note:*Do not login with another persons account unless you are printing for that person.

2. Under the list of services, Click on the "Print Result Slip"

3. On the next page that appears, click "continue with payment" to make payment via Remita or other options available

4. If the payment is successful, your JAMB Original result slip will be displayed and you can proceed to print it immediately. It will equally be sent to your email address in case you prefer to print it later.

Note: 
1. The cost for the printing of the JAMB Original Result Slip is One Thousand Naira (N 1000).

2. The JAMB Original Result Slip must bear you passport photograph on it.

Jamb Re-opens change of course/institution portal

JAMB Reopens Portal For 2017 Change Of Course, Institution And Data Correction

This is to inform all 2017 JAMB candidates that JAMB has re-enabled the portal for the change of course and institution as well as data correction.
You can also correct your Bio-data which include your name, date of birth, gender, State and Local Government of origin.

Before you proceed to do that, please make sure you do the following;

-Be sure of the Course/Institution you would like to make changes. Verify if the course is available in the school using the JAMB Brochure.

-Ensure verify that the school you are changing to does not usually have a cut off mark higher than your score.

- Ensure you select a Course/Institution that is in line with your subject combination to avoid being screened out during your school's admission screening exercise.

Also note the following;

- You can change one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.

- Once the form is submitted, you can no longer make any changes again (or else the system has changed).

- There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 or 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.

- The cost for the change of course and Data correction is N2,500 + N1,000 for processing

- You can use the one time payment of N2, 500 to change your institution, course, name, date of birth, State and Local Government of origin.

JAMB Direct Entry Form, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Direct Entry form for year 2018 is now on-sale. The price of the scratch card is N5,000. More details are available below.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the 2018 JAMB Direct Entry Form Registration will commence from 30 June , 2018.

JAMB Direct Entry Form is mainly for those that already possess a diploma certificate and wishes to go for a degree programme in the university. Normally, those who gained admission into the university via direct entry will start from part 2 or 200 level in their university of choice provided they were offered admission.

All applicants must possess either of the diploma certificates listed below:
All the holders of the diploma certificates listed above would be admitted provided they pass the direct entry examination and possesses the institution requirements.

JAMB DIRECT ENTRY FORM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS.

1. A minimum of five (5) GCE/WASCE credits at not more than two sittings with at least two Principal or Advanced level C.E. and the others.

2. Two passes at the IJMB Advanced Level Examination, Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognised institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects (SUBJECT TO UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS).

3. Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND. Education may be accepted as a third A’ Level subject for those taking courses in Education.

4. Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma including the O’Level requirements.

5. Candidates are to note that they will be required to provide their JAMB registration number which they used in gaining admission to NCE, Diploma etc for Direct Entry admission.

HOW TO APPLY FOR 2018 JAMB DIRECT ENTRY.

1. Registration fee for the 2017 Direct Entry is Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000)
Candidates are also, as usual, to pay
Five Hundred Naira (₦500) only to obtain the reading text- ‘ ‘The Last Days at Forcados High School’ ‘ for Direct Entry Candidates.

2. Candidates should note that e-PINS being purchased are tied to individual profile and are not transferable.

3. Candidates are advised to keep as confidential their security details such as registration numbers, password/numbers of ATM Cards, e-mail addresses and E-Pins.

4. Each candidate must personally create a JAMB profile on the JAMB portal through JAMB Mobile App available on Android, Windows and iOS platforms OR on the JAMB portal: www.jamb.org.ng. Name. date of birth, personal e-mail address and place of origin are required to create the profile.

5. Each Candidate is to collect his e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.

6. As it is the practice, centres are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only as registration Any centre that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700)
should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions.

UNIBEN 200 level Direct Entry Admission Via JUPEB 2017/2018





University of Benin, UNIBEN JUPEB programme admission application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out on sale! Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University of Benin (UNIBEN) Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for 2017/2018 Session.




About UNIBEN JUPEB Programme.
 The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificate which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the University of Benin and other JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria and universities abroad.
The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC) or IJMB. PROGRAMME

DESCRIPTION: Each candidate admitted into the programme will be exposed to an intensive academic work in three subject combinations relevant to their desired field of study. The subjects are broken into four courses labeled 001, 002, 003 & 004 with each candidate taking six courses per semester making a total of twelve courses at the end of the programme. In addition, candidates will also take at least two general studies courses (one per semester).
Each course will be examined at the end of each semester but the results in all the courses taken will be merged at the end of the second semester to obtain a letter grade in each subject (i.e. A, B, C, D, E & F).

The general studies to be chosen by each candidate will be based on general courses relevant to the field of study. For admission into the University of Benin and other JUPEB affiliate institutions, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examination for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all admission requirements prescribed by departments and faculties of choice.

UNIBEN – JUPEB Admission Requirements. Candidates seeking admission into the JUBEP Foundation Programmes must possess minimum of 5 credit passes in at least five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).

 DURATION OF PROGRAMME: The duration of the study is a minimum of one Academic Session of TWO SEMESTERS. It is strictly non-residential programme. Five O’Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and any other 2 Social Sciences or Arts Subjects are required for admission into College of Law.
 
Five O’Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology are required for admission into the MBBS and Nursing Science Programmes.
   
Other Programmes:Five O’Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other subjects relevant to course of study.

ABUAD Direct Entry/Inter University Transfer requirements

Candidates can apply for Direct Entry with either HND, ND, JUPEP, IJMB or IGCSE (A-LEVEL).
    Direct Entry form from JAMB is required to be eligible for admission into Afe Babalola University, Ado – Ekiti (ABUAD)
    Direct Entry/Inter University Transfer admissions are also available for all courses listed above except Law, Medicine and Surgery, and Nursing Science.
  
Applicants are to pay the sum of N10, 500 into any of the designated Banks and obtain the application form at any of the designated selling points. .

IMPORTANT NOTICE ON ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates who participated in the 2017/2018 UTME examination and scored 180 and above may also be considered for admission irrespective of their choice of institution.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY TRAINING
Computer proficiency training and test will be conducted for all applicants.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

a. Application forms are available on-line on payment of application fee of ₦10,000.00 and Technology fee of ₦2,500.00 only.

b. Candidates are expected to register on the Centre’s website: www.lodlc.lautech.edu.ng
by completing and submitting the on-line application form.

c. In completing the on-line application form, candidates are required to upload a scanned passport photograph with white background showing ears, no cap and no glasses.

*The scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG format (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb.

*On submission of the application form, candidates are to print out Referee Form and an Acknowledgement page which will give them access to venue of the Computer Proficiency Training/Test

Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’ level Examinations).

FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE HND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes are as follows:

•Candidates are required to possess National Diploma in their chosen programme from recognized/accredited Polytechnic or Monotechnic.

•Candidates are also to possess at list five (5) relevant O’ level creadits including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sitting in WACE/NECO or NABTEB (O’ level Examinations).

• Candidates are required to have at least one year or two years post National Diploma Industrial Training Experience.
For details on the entry requirement peculiar to each of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes, candidates should visit the Polytechnic website www.fpno.edu.ng.

Please NOTE that candidates with Nov/Dec O’ level result of year of admission for ND part-time programmes are not qualified to apply.
It is also important to NOTE that any false data entry during the on-line registration will lead to disqualification of the candidates at anytime such is discovered.

•All candidates MUST first go to the school portal www.fpno.edu.ng and click on “Application link” on the home page under students. Depending on your interest, choose either HND or ND to proceed.

• Fill your Bio-data in the form and generate an invoice, print or copy out the invoice number, (you can do this on your mobile phone).

• Proceed to any of the designated banks below to make a payment #7,500.00 using your invoice number. You can also choose to make your payment using your VERVE, VISA or MASTER CARD. If you choose the card payment to be processed immediately.

JAMB 2017 STATISTICS | TOP 15 COURSES APPLIED FOR BY JAMBITES

this year. According to the spokesman, more than 1.7 million candidates have taken part in JAMB this year. What courses did they choose? Let`s take a look at the Top 15 courses selected by students at JAMB 2017 registration.

15. Sociology

Sociology is the science which is deeply rooted in statistics. Still, not many students decided to choose Sociology this year.

14. Electrical Engineering

This year a lot of students have decided to dedicate their lives to electronic devices. They want to work with electronics and change Nigeria!

A lot of students want to specialize in Biochemistry. They want to study biological and chemical processes of living things.
